April 2024 - Understanding the latest updates to our Magical Creatures: Our goal is for you to be able to use your favorite creatures without worrying if it will be powerful enough. We have noticed that there are users who are struggling with winning puzzles because their favorite creatures are not strong enough. We believe that all creatures should have a place in Harry Potter: Puzzles and Spells. As a result, we are making some adjustments to our Magical Creatures to make the game more fun and fair for players at all playing levels.Here is what you can expect from the latest update:
  • We are creating more balance across creatures by making some historically weaker creatures more powerful and re-tuning others to be closer to the average.
  • More Charmed Bags! We added a Charmed Bag to all creature win streak bonuses so there are more chances to use Super Charmed Bags when you start a puzzle with one.
  • We increased the blast size and power of many of our creatures, including allowing all creatures to upgrade to a more powerful mega-blast on tier 5.
  • The creature fill meter was very confusing for some players. Now, charging the Creature Meter is more intuitive based on matches made and gems cleared and remains the same across creatures. Since this number is very large, we’re using a visual based representation instead.
  • All creatures get a special boost depending on their rarity tier.

 

To access the Featured Creatures, tap the Hagrid's Hut icon on the top left side of the home screen. Then, you'll find the information for Featured Creatures displayed under the creature chests. You can also access it in your Club by clicking the panel above the League Leaderboard.

All Creatures have been classified based on their traits. For a limited time, a group of creatures with certain traits will be featured to receive extra benefits. In this example, they are featuring the Poisonous Creatures.

When you use a Creature from the current featured category, you will receive the following Rewards:

  • A Creature Chest gift when the Creature’s blast zone is activated within 5 moves of filling the Creature Meter
  • Double Winged Keys in Puzzles
  • Bonus Trophies on Puzzle wins

Why did I not receive a Creature Gift?

You must activate your Creature's blast zone within 5 moves of it filling. If you do not activate it within 5 moves, you will not recieve a gift.

Why is my Creature Meter not full at the start of a new Puzzle?

If you win a puzzle and your Creature Meter is full and with less than 5 moves remaining to activate a blast, your next new puzzle will begin with the same amount of moves and not refill to 5.

Why am I not seeing Double Winged Keys at the start of a Puzzle?

With a Featured Creature in use, you will see double Winged Keys when activating a Winged Key in the Puzzle. You will not see 2 Winged Keys at the start of a Puzzle.

You can change your creature before starting a new puzzle, or by going to the Featured Creatures screen.

The best part is that you can collect all of these rewards without having to select which benefit you prefer! Be sure to keep an eye on the timer to see when the Featured Creature category will change.

Check out some of the latest updates to our Magical Creatures:

  • Previously weaker Creatures (such as the Brown Rat) now have a larger starting Blast!
  • All Creatures can upgrade to an incredibly powerful Mega Blast on Tier 5.
  • The Creature Meter now charges by collecting Gems! Using in-level Power Ups, such as Magic Strike or Land Slide, can charge it even faster.
  •  All Creatures now require the same amount to fill the Creature Meter.
  • Win streak benefits are unified across all Creatures!
  • All Creatures get a special boost depending on their rarity!
